How To Do Mountain Climbers

Mountain climbers are a great core exercise that you can include in your exercise routines.

You can use them as part of a warmup, an exercise in your high-intensity interval training routine, or as a stand-alone exercise in an abdominal workout.

To correctly perform mountain climbers, follow the steps below:

  1. Place an exercise mat somewhere where you can train undisturbed
  2. Get into a push-up position with your arms straight, and your palms on the floor. Your legs should be fully extended out behind you, resting on your toes
  3. Bend one leg and bring the knee up toward the chest
  4. Return the leg back to the floor and repeat with the other side
  5. Repeat this movement for a certain number of reps or for a set period of time
