One tip for helping to reach weight goals

Whether you’re trying to reach a weight loss goal, gain weight, or trying to maintain, there are a number of action plans you can put into place to help empower yourself to be successful. One very helpful trick is meal planning.

By planning out your meals a week or two in advance, it will be easier to reach a certain calorie target. Meal planning is also helpful to ensure you’re consuming adequate amounts of each macronutrient and micronutrient.  Lastly, meal planning helps ensure you have the ingredients on hand and know what you are cooking each day to make preparing nutritious and filling meals easier.

At the start or end of each week, plan healthy meals for the seven upcoming days. You can use an online spreadsheet or keep your meal plan in a diary to make it easier to create and follow. Plan meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as any snacks that you might want to have during the mornings or afternoons.

If you’re somebody who likes having options at mealtimes, come up with two different dishes for all three meals of each day in your meal plan. This will prevent you from getting bored or feeling unsatisfied.
