Our bodies work on a natural 24-hour clock. This is known as the circadian rhythm, and it can be the reason for our drop in energy levels in the afternoon.

One of the best things to do when you’re feeling tired at work is to get up and go for a walk. Getting your body moving can increase blood flow to your brain and muscles, helping you to overcome your energy slump.

If possible, try and walk outside so you can expose your skin to sunlight and get some fresh air. This can wake you up even more and revitalize your energy for when you return to your desk.
