Tossing and turning at night? Try this.
Tossing and turning during the night time can disrupt your sleep and cause you to feel tired and sluggish during the day. This can negatively impact your ability to concentrate at work, socialize with your peers, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
There are a number of reasons why you might find yourself tossing and turning every night. If your sleep routine is poor, your bedroom environment is not optimized for sleep, or you’ve got a lot on your mind, you might struggle to get to sleep and stay asleep even when you drift off.
If you can’t get back to sleep after 20 minutes, try getting out of bed. Take a moment to stretch or meditate without looking at your phone or computer. Doing so will calm your mind and once you feel sleepy, go back to bed.
