Yoga 101: What is Mountain pose?
The Mountain Pose (Tasasana) is a standing yoga pose that helps with posture and balance. It’s the perfect way to begin and round up your workout because it enables you to come back to the center and ground yourself.
The Mountain Pose is beginner-friendly and doesn’t require significant mobility or flexibility. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been doing yoga for a while, this pose is a great one to include in your routine.
To perform the Mountain Pose, simply stand up straight with your head held high, and your chest expanded. Your arms should be down by your side and your feet hip-width apart and parallel to one another. Your ankles, knees and hips should be aligned over top of one another, and keep your shoulders down and open.
