Am I Working Out Too Much?
Regular exercise is essential to optimal physical and mental health. However, there is a point at which you end up exercising too much.
But how do you know when you’re doing too much? How do you know when you are suffering from overtraining syndrome?
There are a few tell-tale signs to indicate that you might be pushing yourself too hard. Here are some of the symptoms to look out for.
- Feeling tired even on your rest days
- Feeling tired as soon as you wake up
- Having constantly sore muscles, despite taking a break from training
- Being unmotivated to workout, even if you usually love exercising
- Poor or interrupted sleep
- Having trouble concentrating or focusing on your work
- Being irritable or having drastic mood changes every day
If you’re experiencing one or more of these symptoms, you might need to take an extended period of time away from training. This will enable your body to go through some much-needed rest and recovery.
