Try this trick for managing your screen time

Admittedly, most of us are glued to our phones nowadays. Technology has infiltrated almost every aspect of the modern-day lifestyle and it can be difficult to get away from it sometimes.

There is such a thing as technology addiction. Every time you pick up your phone and check your social media notifications it causes dopamine to be released in your brain. Dopamine is part of the reward system and causes you to crave more of whatever you’re doing. As a result, you can start to crave being on your phone to get another dopamine hit.

Often, we check our phones when we’re bored. When you have a few free minutes and you feel yourself reaching for your phone, fill that time with a replacement activity.  Use the time to enjoy a short meditation, perform sets of squats or engage in a conversation.
