Want to Squeeze in More Exercise Every Day? Here's How!

Exercise has incredible physical and mental health benefits. If you’re struggling to find time to get in a workout, there are plenty of things you can do throughout your day to squeeze in extra activity.

Squat While Brushing Your Teeth

Instead of standing still over the sink when you’re brushing your teeth, try doing some bodyweight squats. Focus on activating your lower body muscles and squeezing your glutes.

Do Calf Raises While Waiting in Line

If you’re waiting to get on the bus or standing at the checkouts, practice calf raises by coming up onto the balls of the feet while you do so.

Stretch at Your Desk

If you work in an office, take some time to stretch at your desk. This could be while you’re reading an email from your manager or doing research for an upcoming project.

Walk While on the Phone

If your job involves being on the phone quite a lot, try walking around each time you’re on the phone to a friend or colleague. This is going to add in those extra steps and may even improve your focus.

Squeeze Your Muscles

When you're standing in line or sitting at your desk, squeeze your glutes together or flex your biceps to activate your muscles.

There are always opportunities to add in more exercise throughout your day. Take every opportunity you can to multitask at work or home and reap the benefits of an active lifestyle. The small things that you do each day will add up to make large improvements to your health.
