What are tricep push-ups?
The push-up is a common upper body exercise primarily targeting the pectoralis muscles (the chest muscles), but did you know that you can adapt the exercise to shift the emphasis more towards your triceps?
The triceps push-up is very similar to the traditional push-up, but instead of placing your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, place your hand directly under your shoulders and in line with the midline of your chest. Keep your elbows tucked close to your body as you push up. Maintain a neutral spine as you lower your body down. You can modify this exercise by keeping your knees on the ground, or by pushing off from a stable, elevated surface.
