What is the Dead Bug Ab Exercise?
The dead bug ab exercise is an effective way to work your core muscles. It can be performed almost anywhere and only requires a comfortable place to lie down.
The dead bug exercise is named after the way a bug reacts when they are upside down. If you have ever seen a beetle that has been flipped on its back, it will flail its legs in an attempt to stand upright once again.
To perform the dead bug ab exercise, lie down flat on your back.
- Lift your arms and legs straight in the air so that they are directly above you.
- Slowly lower one arm and the opposite leg down to the floor.
- Hold this position for a second before lifting them back up to the starting position. Alternate between each side of your body to challenge your core muscles.
